1. How To Change Mac Address

It displays when you first log in to your Mac account, and when you use applications such as iChat and Address Book. Although your profile picture is typically chosen when you initially set up your Mac computer, you can change your profile picture at any time through your System Preferences menu. You can easily change the lock screen on a Mac computer to an image you prefer. You can do so through the Finder, or by changing your desktop. Extract an image

1. In the Preview app on your Mac, click the Show Markup Toolbar button (if the Markup toolbar isn't showing), click the Selection Tools menu , then choose the Smart Lasso tool .

2. Trace the edge of the image you want to extract.

   Make sure the image's edge is within the thick border that appears as you trace.

3. Connect the end of the border back to its beginning, or stop dragging to connect the border in a straight line back to the beginning.

4. Do one of the following:

   • To copy the image so that you can paste it in a document: Choose Edit > Copy.

   • To remove everything outside of your selection: Click Crop or choose Edit > Invert Selection, then press Delete.

Extract a PDF page as an image

You can select part of an image opened in Preview, then copy and paste it elsewhere or crop the content surrounding it. If the image is in a PDF, you need to extract the PDF page as an image before you can use the image markup tools. Create shortcut mac os x.

1. In the Preview app on your Mac, open the PDF file, choose View > Thumbnails, then select the page in the thumbnail sidebar.

2. Click File > Export, type a name, add a tag (optional), then choose where you want to save it.

3. Click the Format pop-up menu and choose an image format (such as PNG).

Remove the background from an image

1. In the Preview app on your Mac, click the Show Markup Toolbar button (if the Markup toolbar isn't showing), then click the Instant Alpha button (or use the Touch Bar).

   Preview selects the area you dragged over and any pixels adjacent to it that have the same colors.

3. To delete the selected area, press Delete.

Change your desktop picture from System Preferences

1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences.
2. Click Desktop & Screensaver.

Add a folder of your own images

To add a folder of your own images, click the add button (+) below the list of folders, then choose the folder that contains your images.

Change your desktop picture from Photos

1. Open the Photos app.
2. If you're using multiple displays, drag the Photos window over the desktop that you want to change.
3. Control-click (or right-click) the image that you want to use.
4. Select Share from the shortcut menu, then choose Set Desktop Picture from the submenu.
   

Change your desktop picture from the Finder

1. From a Finder window or your desktop, locate the image file that you want to use.
2. Control-click (or right-click) the file, then choose Set Desktop Picture from the shortcut menu. If you're using multiple displays, this changes the wallpaper of your primary display only.
   

If you don't see Set Desktop Picture in the shortcut menu, you should see a submenu named Services instead. Choose Set Desktop Picture from there. Mac disk installer.
